Let us help you find the perfect pet for you.
Nor Cal Pet Rescue makes sure each animal that we take in to our rescue center gets spayed or neutered, current vaccinations, treated for worms, fleas and other possible parasites, as well as provided a proper diet and plenty of exercise.
We encourage everyone to spay or neuter their cats and dogs both as a health benefit as well as to reduce the overpopulation in and around our community.
Frequently Asked Questions
How Long Does the Process Take?
Our adoption process can take anywhere from 2 days to a week depending on a few different variables. We will try our best to give you an estimate when you turn in your application.
How Much Does Adopting Cost?
Our adoptions are typically $150 for cats and $300 for dogs, though that may change depending on the animal. Our adoption fee covers the pet’s spay or neuter, vaccinations, deworming, and current flea medications. The fee also covers any other costs that the animal may require.
Do I have to foster before I adopt?
Before finalizing your adoption, we ask that you foster your new pet for a few days to see if they suit your household. When you make your decision, just let us know and we will schedule an appointment for you to come in and fully adopt your new furry friend.
Will I need Additional Veterinarian Services?
Since we are unable to administer vaccines after an adoption is finalized, if you adopt your new pet before we are able to give them all their vaccinations you may need to bring them to your vet to finalize them. If you have any questions about their medical history, feel free to ask one of our staff.
Can i get my pet fixed through my own vet?
We require that all spay and neuter procedures for all animals we adopt out go through us. When finalizing your adoption we will have you sign a contract agreeing to the spay and neuter date that can only be changed under mitigating circumstances. If you need to cancel for any reason you may be charged a cancellation fee.
